Legit Taiwanese food! Had the Chinese sausage appetizer (served with slices of raw garlic YUM), shrimp omelette (with the perfect gooey consistency), braised pork belly rice, and Taiwanese sausage fried rice “ketchup style”. 2 of our dishes also came with soup, and those were yummy as well. What Ephraim Su doesn't like about Formosan:
Great restaurant idea however food flavor was just a bit off taste. Every item was a bit too sweet (corn soup, steak sauce, etc...)As a Taiwanese would love to see more of such restaurants in the area however this one's taste is just a bit too far off especially for their signature dish (aka Taiwanese style sizzling steak).?If u see this review as a restaurant and fix it I would be more than happy to try it againPros... Food here is pretty good. But the last two times we were there, they forgotten our orders waited almost 30 minutes). The owner apologized. This is correctable. Please fix this so we can come back again. Thank you
One dish you simply cannot miss is the iconic teppanyaki, a hearty concoction that embodies the essence of Taiwanese comfort food. Tender beef simmered to perfection in a rich, flavorful broth—it's pure bliss in a bowl. But the culinary delights don't stop there. Explore a diverse selection of specialties, from sizzling hotpots to succulent grilled fish, each dish bursting with freshness and depth of flavor.Vegetarians and vegans will also find plenty to love on the menu, with an array of plant-based options that celebrate Taiwan's bountiful produce. And let's not forget dessert! Indulge your sweet tooth with traditional treats like pineapple cakes or creamy taro pudding, the perfect finale to your Taiwanese feast.Complementing the exquisite fare is impeccable service, with attentive staff who are passionate about sharing their love for Taiwanese cuisine.
