**Dining Review: A Mixed Bag at the Local Pub** Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, this classic local pub delivers a varied dining experience, leaving patrons with mixed feelings. While some dishes, particularly the steaks, receive rave reviews for their quality and generous portions, others, such as the pub staples, fall short of expectations. Prices can appear steep for the average fare, with inconsistent service further complicating the experience. However, with a new chef at the helm and a revamped menu showcasing impressive meals—like the recommended ribeye and delightful fish dishes—there remains potential for a satisfying visit. Overall, it’s a place of contrasts.

Was Anonym at Freeway a mag?
the bistro has great food. I'm here on Saturday. there are not many people. the quality of the meal. I usually don't order a chicken parmie as time and time again I was disappointed by overboiled chicken, but it wasn't moist, cook to perfection. I decided to have a nice and maic with a pfeffer sauce. look at the surrounding meal lamb cakes, sirloin and fish and chips quite generous portions. great meal and friendly s... View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Freeway:
The pub food here is rather average, and the prices feel a bit high for what you get. The schnitzels are freshly fried and served hot, and the chips are decent, but nothing to write home about. It's convenient to have waiter service for beer, although I believe this is offered only on certain days. View all feedback.

This is a classic local pub, but with fantastic food! Ever since the new chef and menu arrived about a year ago, I've been coming here weekly. The food is truly excellent! The portions are generous and very reasonably priced. You have to try the steaks here; not only are they high quality, but the chef cooks them to perfection! Tonight, I had the ribeye (350g) for $30, which comes with two complimentary side dishes (you can choose from 10 options). I went with the onion rings and sautéed mushrooms with spinach in a porcini mushroom sauce (also with 10 different sauces to choose from).

I waited an hour and a half for a burger, which was the only thing I had to eat. When I addressed my concerns with the staff, they were rude and unhelpful. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

I felt compelled to write this review because the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I ordered a fish with lemon, a salad, and fries—very healthy and not greasy at all! My partner had a rump steak with salad and mashed potatoes, and his portion was just as generous and delightfully fresh as mine. I highly recommend this restaurant! Price per person: A$40–60. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.
