Chilly Cones Soft Serve Ice Cream

Full disclosure here ...I looked up Dole Whip near me and to my surprise Chilly Cones popped up. I LOVE Dole whip after first tasting at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. I believe this establishment is fairly new but they have a pretty expansive menu of food and treats. My boys had ice cream and they loved it. Most food items are those county fair kind of guilty pleasure items so I would not recommend coming here for a healthy snack You come here to indulge a but. The store space is pretty big, plenty of seats and clean. Not much to see or ambiance but they do have some cute toys for kids to play with. Prices were affordable and again..something for everyone.

I do not recommend going to Chilly Cones at all. I ordered the Dino S'mores. It was a basically ice cream toppings in a cup topped with whip cream. My blaster was supposed to have chocolate ice cream with marshmallows, topped with gram crackers and whip cream with a chocolate drizzle. When I got this, I immediately saw I had no drizzle. Then I that the gram crackers were not even gram crackers but weird cracker-like things. And the gram crackers were mixed into the ice cream....when the description said gram crackers would be a TOPPING. I also found CoCo Puffs (the cereal) in my ice cream when they weren't supposed to be in there. Finally, after eating half of the ice cream I found my FIRST marshmallow. And the marshmallow was dried up and powdery when I ate it. I'm not sure if this was just a fluke but I'm disappointed with what I've been served at Chilly Cones.

I'm really glad Chilly Cones is here! We enjoy a little soft serve ice cream treat now and then. The servers have always been friendly. The portions have been large. Keep that coming. Recommended for a fun treat. We usually take out.

I love some soft serve ice cream!!! We usually go to another well known ice cream lab in the area, but when you want soft serve you want soft serve! It is great to know this place is in town! We walked in, were promptly greeted by the single employee behind the counter. She took our order and expertly chocolate dipped two cones! Wow! They were so big and the chocolate tasted really good like real chocolate not that chocolate shell stuff you can buy at the grocery store. Baby had a float. She was given her ice cream in a cup and instructed to fill the cup with whatever flavor soda she wanted. She chose wisely with Black Cherry! It was really delicious! The store was empty when we go there but as we sat, enjoying our ice cream, a couple came in and orders a couple of sundaes that looks really good and another lady came in an ordered a swirl cone. She said, I 'll have another one of those cones! So...she knows the score and was on her 2nd cone of the day! Another woman came in and I heard her talk at length with the employee about the hot dogs. The lady placed an order for a hot dog and drink then went and sat down. The employee asked her to pay for her food, but the lady had already sat down and wasn 't excited about the prospect of getting back up from her seat. The employee kindly walked out from behind the counter, took the lady 's card and swiped it for her. Once the food was delivered to the table (again not something the employee HAD to do), the lady commented that the order was incorrect. The employee (dang! I wish I had gotten her name she was there around 3:00pm on 11/20/21) came out, and listened to the lady, kindly apologized and fixed the order. The lady wasn 't the nicest person on Earth, but the employee was very polite and respectful. Hats off to her customer service skills! Anyway I hope this place is here to stay because it offers a nice option in ice cream selections in the Pismo area!

Friendly crew, both ladies were really patient with us trying to make our decisions....I just want it all so it's hard for me to whittle it down and then trying to figure out what our two little girls want, and they really helped us out!Flavor mix options are great for the sundaes and the shake-blasts, I ended up with the tar pit. It was packed with toppings and filled me up.
