Within walking distance of the Ibis Budget Hotel this establishment offers you a nice choice of tapas, meals and drinks. A small car parking area is available. This is a maritime themed eatery which exudes a pleasant ambiance. If like us you are overnighting at the Ibis Budget prior to boarding the next day's ferry then this is an ideal place to eat and drink at.
This restaurant is on the other side of the river from the center of Arrigorriaga. The location is slightly awkward as the freeway and other main highway pass by and over the place, and there are two large water aqueducts to admire as well. It is still a large and peaceful oasis with a garden and large covered terrace, as well as rooms on three levels inside. It bills itself Museo El Barco, Boat Museum, a reasonable claim given the nautical decorations and exhibits throughout the restaurant. Don't be shy about wandering around and checking these out. The food is good, the service friendly, the menu being good value. We had anchovies Bilbao, duck confit, sauteed mushrooms, and stuffed eggplant. All were tasty and I enjoyed my flan dessert.
This restaurant is in a strange corner of Arrigorriaga, near the freeway, aqueduct, river, and other main highway. It is across the river from the main part of town. It also bills itself as the Museo El Barco, Boat Museum, a reasonable claim given the nautical theme and fabulous maritime decorations and exhibits on 3 floors. There is a large patio and garden as well as dining spaces inside. The menu is well priced. We had mushrooms, stuffed eggplant, anchovies Bilbao, duck confit, and flan, all was well cooked and flavorful.
