El Cielo Rabat - Arriate

Came to drink a cocktail while waiting for the nightclub to open in the same building. One of the rare places in Rabat where the art of mixology is practiced. Excellent cocktails, beautiful presentation, background music certainly too loud for a restaurant but of very very very good quality. I had to restrain myself from getting on the counter. Elegant and subdued decor, pretentious but elegant clientele, even if one or the other fanatic indulges in sports training. Prices much higher than elsewhere, but commensurate with the contrast with the mediocrity of most other R’batis bars. In the toilets you can undress yourself under the close supervision of a member of staff Here as elsewhere, we smoke indoors, right under the nose of public health and personal hygiene (ah the good smell of cold tobacco when you return home... !

Good music if you’re into electric and house. We liked the DJ each time. Decor is nicely done, very trendy and flashy. However, service was awful on a Friday evening. Everything took longer than reasonable. Now, i can be lenient when staff are simply busy. But in this case, there are several managers who stand around watching, and we saw servers hanging around chilling with the bartender. This made our wait time quite frustrating. To top it off, the drinks were terrible. Do not order sangria or cocktails here.
