We spent our last long weekend at this... read more If you want to spend a few days exploring Isola del Liri and the surrounding area, this is the ideal hotel for your stay. We spent our last long weekend at this hotel from May 1st to 3rd. We were three couples, and we had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building is historic but completely renovated, preserving the style of a turn-of-the-century inn. The rooms were large, comfortable, and welcoming, with a spacious private bathroom complete with shower and hairdryer. We dined twice in the hotel restaurant. In addition to the excellent food and superb wine at a more than fair price, we were looked after throughout the dinner by the entire staff, led by a person who was exceptional for his kindness, knowledge, and professionalism. Very positive reviews create expectations that can later lead to disappointment if you decide to follow their advice. This is not the case; if you decide to use this one, you will not be disappointed. P.S. We also purchased the wine they produce.
