We had a really delicious dinner of sushi. I had the California rolls and the Spicy Tuna rolls. The plates are very attractive. Staff is friendly and helpful. We were surprised that there weren't more people having dinner at the same time as the food...is so good! Free parking and easy access to the restaurant. I was sad that there were no dessert items available although they show on the menu. How about some green t... View all feedback.
What Miriam Alanis doesn't like about Haru Restaurant:
You will be easy to find this one in the town and can also easily order some sushi if you are not very picky people. The waiter looks very happy look, a typical small resteruant int the small town. View all feedback.
Tuna tataki and tempura sushi is our favorite. Serving is a little clumsy but very kind. You can take your time here about your meal, which is not common in canada. I'll give you some eggs. They're officially closing at 8:00. But they won't be a problem if you stay here longer.
Wow. Where did these other reviewers eat??? We went for the buffet tonight to try it out. We arrived a half an hour after it began and the hot dishes were all empty or almost there. What was there was definitely not even close to Japanese; more like westernized fried chicken in four flavours. The miso soup was separating and tasted like it had gone bad or was old. There were two california style rolls left so we added one each to our plate. It was a very sorry small plate with only three items on it and we ate the rolls and decided to ask for our cheque. We still had to pay full price even though we were there for ten minutes and ate three items each. At $14.95 each, that was the most expensive california rolls we have ever had. The teapot was filthy greasy dirty. The waitress was very sweet though, even though she did not pass out concerns on to the kitchen and made us pay full price. An expensive lesson. Just don't. It is not even close to authentic or sushi. I wish zero was an option for rating.
Friendly staff, great food. Because we live in Armstrong, we've been eating here regularly for the past year. Always enjoy our lunch or supper!
Love Haru sushi. They have friendly staff, great menu/food, low prices. I love the caterpillar roll, it's my favourite! For such a small place, they have so many items on the menu. I bring all of my family and friends here over Tanunki, any day.
