The Welder's Dog - Armidale

We didn't think we could find such a lovely and funky place in a rural town. We loved it and we'll be back. Nice selection of beers and ciders, mulled wine, good music selection and staff are lovely. This is a relaxing place :

MISSY THE CAT RETURNS! Four and a half stars for The Welder's Dog (Armidale). Little places like this are the saving grace of many a small rural university town, around the world. And what a special blessing it is to be able to find good company and good drinks on a cold, rainy New England evening in Armidale. Missy The Cat Star Ratings: 5 a place of rare genius that merits repeated return visits 4 a strong effort with no major shortcomings 3 a solid, worthy effort with perhaps one important thing to fix 2 several important things wrong, but at least one important thing right 1 can't be given a zero, doesn't deserve a dollar (as of review date)

Cool bar in town, with a great selection of beers and spirits, music was spot on. They don't really offer food (cheese etc) so they let you bring your own food in. The pizza place next door is decent and there are plenty of other options nearby. Had fun and the beers were great.

Stopped in on a trip to Armidale. What a fantastic venue. Super fresh and tasty locally brewed beers. You can order pizza from next door and have them delivered to your table. Staff were very friendly and we had a fantastic night. Thank you!!!
