I recently joined a group of friends for lunch at the St Kilda and was amazed at the range of options available at very reasonable prices. As well as the $7 options, there were some good options for $10 and $15. I chose the lamb cutlets with mash and gravy while most of my friends chose the fish and chips with salad. The servings were substantial and great value. Although the pub was packed with groups and couples en... View all feedback.

We were looking for a pub to have dinner & watch Friday night footy and found the St Kilda. We both had steak for dinner total cost $48 so reasonably priced for a pub! I had a Tbone and it was cooked exactly as I asked and was enjoyable, my partner had the ribeye and they over cooked it so a bit disappointing for him. A very relaxed local pub full of locals and the regular Friday night meat raffles etc. View all feedback.
This is a classic old pub lodging that dates back to the 1950s and earlier. The rooms are now outdated and overpriced, but at $40 per night for a single room, it is a decent value. However, those looking for luxury, cleanliness, and a private bathroom will need to pay more elsewhere. Despite this, guests can enjoy a satisfactory pub meal downstairs. While it may not be the most impressive place to bring friends, it serves its purpose and is a convenient option for budget travelers.
I want to express my gratitude to Liza for being so kind and welcoming. Our visit to the restaurant was enjoyable. The meal portions were satisfying and the prices were reasonable, just what you would expect at a pub. We especially appreciated the cozy fire that was lit for us. Although we are not used to the Armidale climate this time of year, Liza made us feel right at home. And let's not forget to mention that Liza pours a perfect Guinness. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This pub is ideal for motorcyclists looking for a place to stay for a few nights. As a journalist who is also a motorcyclist, I appreciate the option to lock my bike under the deck overnight. The location at the edge of the CBD is perfect. The rooms could use some improvement, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. At $40 a night for a private room, it's good value. The dinner prices were excellent at $10, with a choice of 3 meals. While the food was nothing to rave about, it was better than the nearby McDonald's.
Pleasant service but chicken carving was bad could not serve my finger on what was wrong, but carving coating had no relation to the huh tasteless salate served with it. fish and chips were good. at $10,000 a service, maybe I shouldn't complain! Wine...was good price and a reasonable for $7.00 per glass. a bit of a cannon to go first into a reasonable environment. serviceable traveling evening meal stop.
Chose to eat at the St. Kilda because of other TA reviews. Kosciusko and 150 lashes on tap, well priced and tasty chicken parmy. Helpful staff.
