We were staying at the hotel and decided to dine at the attached restaurant. We had a great dinner, we shared the lovely bread and Brie and mushroom entree and I had the thoroughly delicious oxtail while my husband had the pork steak. We finished off with the bread and butter pudding. The wine list was excellent and we savoured every drop of the Coriole Shiraz. The service was excellent and very attentive. View all feedback.

We have had lovely meals at this restaurant before, however last night was very disappointing. Quite a few of the dishes on the menu were not available. The bread that came with the soup was burnt-the waitress said "sorry about that "and took our plates. We should have complained when we received the soup. One of the main courses said that it came with parsnip purée and what was on the plate was mashed potato. The wa... View all feedback.
I highly recommend dining at this charming older house restaurant. The Chicken meal and the Barramundi meal are both delicious options. The staff is absolutely lovely, very polite and helpful. You can also enjoy the bar area through double French doors next to the restaurant, where you'll find comfortable chairs.
The entire dining experience was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the old-fashioned luxury atmosphere, comfortable seating, and cozy ambiance. Despite someone commenting on the music, I, being a musician myself, paid special attention to it. However, when I asked others at the table, they hadn't even noticed that music was playing, which indicates that it wasn't a distraction. The selected tracks were fitting for the setting, although I personally found the Spotify sound to be a bit bothersome. The service was top-notch, attentive, and polite. The highlight of the evening was the delicious food, with most of us choosing the lamb dish, which received rave reviews from everyone at the table. The wine, a Langhorne Creek Shiraz, was reasonably priced and also excellent. I highly recommend it. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience for all of us, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
Starting with the seating situation, we were seated at a long table for four, even though there were plenty of smaller tables available. The meal itself was decent, with the beef jus standing out as particularly nice. However, the cauliflower was oddly cold. The main issue was the service. While the server was pleasant, discussing her Gastroesophageal reflux disease when we asked about wine recommendations was not appreciated. Additionally, the constant country music playing was overwhelming, and when we asked for it to be changed, we were told the owner preferred it that way. The food, while slightly better than a typical pub lunch, had inconsistent temperatures on the plate. The overall experience felt overpriced and the owner's negative attitude further detracted from our evening, especially since we were celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this establishment.
The atmosphere is from a different era, very comfortable, very nice. The food and service were both great. We didn’t know what to expect, but my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience.
This is a really nice space and food was great, we had steak and cooked well and really tasty. Desert was average but not bad.
