Nice staff. Fast food is always what it is. Fast, cheap, basic and no frills. However any day we prefer here than the opposite number on Marsh. Needing a Sunday roast recently and being in the middle of a house move we went to KFC. When ordering from the kids at the counter, there was an abundance of flies. Having been in commercial hospitality for years we wondered why, in winter-time, the appropriate fly-killing regime was so ineffective. Not a good look. Our kids love popcorn chicken and everything was eaten. So, good result. A really good family meal was purchased. But being between 2 homes we needed to eat in situ. So our huge bag of food was provided and very much enjoyed. But eating in we had to ask plates and cutlery. The only cutlery able to be provided were plastic take-away teaspoons. With a bunch of kids, splitting the meal into the take-away boxes (AKA plates) using these little red spoons was not fun. Very few serviettes provided given we were eating with our fingers. Come on Mr Ken Tuckey - you make millions out of the public and make the lives of chickens miserable. At least kill the flies and provide plastic plates and proper knives and forks... Out of interest, why do you serve mashed potato as well as chips...?!
The Colonel was adding a little something extra when I visited Armidale in March: flies. Ok, so maybe the air con had broken down and the public servants handn't realised KFC offers free wifi like Maccas across the road, but it'd have been heaps nicer if I hadn't been joined by a couple of blow flies wanting to get in on my three piece dinner deal. Service was brisk and friendly, chicken as you'd expect.
Generally takes a long time to get a meal here, and the drive through isn't any better. Have also been there a number of times to be told they have run out of chicken, a bit of a surprise for a chicken restaurant.
I had a delicious and satisfying lunch at this restaurant. The food was fresh, hot, and I enjoyed every bite. I don't mind getting my fingers dirty for a juicy, hot meal. I left feeling happy and satisfied.
