Contribute Feedback What Melissa P likes about Pupuseria Dona Azucena:
The best pupusas you will have, in the area this said by a Latina who is used to eating these. I have eaten original ones from El Salvador and these are great. I also like yuca con chicharrón or cassava, they give you big pieces and not over fried. The only thing here is the parking is a nightmare so just know you will have to deal with this. What Jose Portillo doesn't like about Pupuseria Dona Azucena:
The staff member was rude when I called to place my order. I called twice and couldn't even finish my order before he hung up on me both times. When I arrived at the restaurant, he maintained the same attitude. The place is terrible, and with employees like this, they'll be out of business soon. Service: 1/5 View all feedback.
Very good service from the cashier leticia and alba recommend the place!Food: 5/5
A hidden gem that you don't want to miss! Stop in for some of the best Salvadorian food in the area! Not to mention, affordable. You truly get bang for your buck here. I mean where can you go in the DMV and have a delicious meal for less than $15 bucks?Today I ordered (2) bean and cheese pupusas and a tamarindo drink. Lunch time is typically busy so you may not get to snag a table, but you can always order over the phone for carry out. If you want to travel to El Salvador without catching a flight, venture to Arlington, VA where the pupusas are made fresh to order and the locals indulge in a taste of home away from home!
Authentic Salvadoran cuisine. Pork and cheese pupusa was good. The chicken tamal was small but flavorful.
They do not make authentic Salvadoran food the pupusas are a blob of masa the torrejas aren't even authentic they poured honey on quesadillas
El Salvadorian ?? Flavors come to live as the music filled your ears and the recipes if Doña Azucena fill your stomach and soul. The service is friendly, welcoming and fast! The prices are so reasonable, and they have my favorite beverage...HORCHATA!Beneath the beaming smile of the Doña's photograph, you can enjoy tacos, sopa de mariscos, or my favorite Chicharróns!This is officially making my list of favorites!
