I was invited to this restaurant based on positive recommendations. Upon entering, the friendly staff greeted our group. Our waitress was well-informed about the menu and specials when we placed our order. We began with calamari as an appetizer. My main course was the shrimp and lobster pasta, and we also ordered a children's pasta. For dessert, we chose bread pudding. The calamari was flavorful with tomato sauce and corn. It was cooked perfectly, tender rather than crunchy. The shrimp and lobster pasta was delicious and offered a good portion for its price. Everything was tender and full of flavor. The children's pasta was appropriately sized for a kid's meal. The bread pudding was a delightful treat with a soft texture. The warm pudding and ice cream on top created a satisfying contrast. This restaurant truly lives up to its reputation. I've already recommended it to others, and I'm eager to return and try more dishes. By the way, the experience was so good that I visited their adjoining bakery, Baked Buns, to bring home more treats!

The food never disappoints at The Carlyle! The smoked salmon is smoked daily and makes for an amazing salad. If you like goat cheese, then you must try their Warm Goat Cheese Spiced Pecans. I can 't stop ordering this along with the Lobster Bisque long enough to try anything else. Speaking of their Lobster Bisque...OMG!! Creamy goodness with tons of huge chunks of lobster in almost every bite. THEN, after eating all that healthy stuff, I screw up my diet with a mouthwatering Warm White Chocolate Bread Pudding that is 100% Diet Free and worth every bite. Tell them Ed sent you! You won 't get anything for it, but I 'll get a kick out of it.
