We wanted chicken Pho soup but like the other Vietnamese restaurants in France they only served beef pho. We decided to have their curried chicken dinner plate instead which came with salad, rice and spring roll. It was all very tasty and just the right amount of food. The place was very busy and our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. Dinner for 2 with 1 beer and 1 jasmine tea was $26E including tip. View all feedback.
What Ikouma doesn't like about LE VIETNAM:
Was hoping for an authentic experience of Vietnam but the food and ingredients were mediocre and tasteless. All our food was very oily and the portions were meagre. The staff and setting were nice but we did not have a good meal. There are better asian offers in Arles. The wine was terrible. We did not digest well and felt ill during the night. Great food, so delicious. The service was a bit slow but it was just one guy working, so I understood. And the food made up for it!!
Went to Vietnam after we found L’Aspara was permanently closed Got there early otherwise we would have been waiting ages Went for the set menu, including ginger chicken and prawns in a spicy sauce. All was excellent But the service? Very friendly and helpful but we were there for 2 hours. They need more waiters or kitchen staff Restaurant was not full so could make more money
I liked this restaurant a lot. They will tell you in case they are overwhelmed: 'you have to wait 45 minutes', but then they sometimes exceed expectations. The food was very good. I can recommend this Thai.
Too bad that the waiter did not know his job well! We waited too long to order and to get our order. He got many things confused and 2 of us did not get to eat at all because their food did not arrive in time. The ones that did get their food were very satisfied with its quality. Please improve your service!!! Your food deserves it!
We ate here twice during our stay in Arles. Very popular with both tourists and locals. On.both occasions we arrived about 7pm and saw a steady increase in customers as the evening went on, including people collecting takeaways. A single waiter served all evening, yet we never felt we had to wait too long for service at any time. Friday night was particularly busy, and some customers who obviously 'knew the ropes' were helping clear tables for themselves, and setting them out freshly. The food was excellent - freshly cooked and had authentic flavours. The cold spring rolls were particularly good, as well as the Hanoi beer. We would certainly return if we visited Arles again.
