Although a great location for visiting lots of attractions etc. The room we had was great for two but with a third person it would have been cramped. double and... read more Although a great location for visiting lots of attractions etc. The room we had was great for two but with a third person it would have been cramped. double and single bed in room Bathroom great with a walk-in shower but some wall tiles were cracked, the basin also had a crack in it. Needed an extra or larger towel rail as just managed to fit 2 medium towels and 2 hand towels on it for drying unless you wanted clean towels every day. Carpet had lots of marks on it. Window was either closed or full open not an option as on ground floor. Wi-Fi definitely needs to be updated as signal was very poor in room. Useless when trying to read emails, gave up trying to look at anything else. The menu was a bit repetitive especially mash potato with almost every main meal each night. Staff was the only 5* thing about our stay. All were polite, cheerful and very helpful. Answering questions never a problem. The grounds were beautifully cared for, loved the nature walk. Would we stay here again, possibly but only if Wi-Fi had improved.

Rooms are very clean, spacious and modern with good sustainability practices! Had a family dinner in the Pottery restaurant which was excellent. Food was delicious and service outstanding, all overseen by the impeccable Nuno who is a credit to the hotel.

On top of that, they weren... read more Paid €5 for a portion of chips at the Arklow Bay Hotel and was genuinely shocked by how small it was — it would have fit on a saucer. On top of that, they weren’t even cooked properly. I felt completely robbed. My sister ordered a half roast dinner for €15, which actually looked nice and was good value, making the chips even more disappointing. Absolutely ridiculous portion for the price. Would not order again.
