It was a great choice - the soup and artisan bread were delicious, as well as the warm smoked salmon bun with chips that reminded me of my mom's cooking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was also very good.

The portion sizes were awful, forcing us to eat at home. It was the worst experience ever and way too expensive for what we received. My wife and i visited Riva , and to say it was bad is a understatement, starter of mussels was fine,from there it went down hill very fast, my wife ordered Lasa... read more My wife and i visited Riva , and to say it was bad is a understatement, starter of mussels was fine,from there it went down hill very fast, my wife ordered Lasagne it served burnt so much you could not get a knife and fork through it , they replaced it and low and behold it was the same, except the put a piece of cheese on top and melted it,the chef spent more time in the restaurant than the kitchen, a young lad in shorts and T- shirt was in and out of the kitchen area not very health and safety.felt sorry for the 2 waiters who kept saying sorry for something that was not there fault, would not recommend this place what's so ever.

The s... read more I booked a belated birthday lunch for my friend at Riva, since she had never been before. She was so impressed that she is taking me back for my birthday! The staff were fantastic from the moment we walked in until we left – attentive but not pushy. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. We both chose the 2-course meal for £14.95, which was great value. We both went for a main course and dessert. The tiramisu was the best I've ever tasted, and the portion was very generous – we could have easily shared it. I managed to eat all of mine and enjoyed every delicious spoonful! We had a lovely lunch and will definitely be back soon. Thank you.
