Brilliant! We are touring around Tiree for my wife 's birthday. Our visit to Ceabhar has been the crowning glory of a great time on Tiree.Duncan is a great host we felt welcome even before we pulled in to the drive with our bikes! He has a friendly manner that more than matches the peaceful setting of Sandaig. The food was excellent, we each had 3 courses and coffee. Brilliant locally sourced ingredients prepared well is very difficult to beat. I had smoked Venison to start followed by Lobster and then Pavlova. With each course our smiles widened to a satisfied grin. This has also been one of the best value meals that I have had for a long time and will be very hard to beat. We will just have to come back. Also please do try Duncan 's excellent micro brew in the words of my father in law it was a damn good pint!

We ate here a couple of times during our week on Tiree. The menu is limited in term of choice and if you don 't eat early you run the risk of not having the full choice as dishes seem to be prepared in small numbers and when they 're gone, they 're gone. That 's not to say the food is poor, far from it. Well prepared and served.A very good selection of beers and Duncan (the owner) is now brewing his own.I 'm never keen on we don 't serve chips here though.

This restaurant is a delight. The welcome, service and food is excellent. Definitely to be recommended and to return to. Thank you for two most enjoyable evenings.

Duncan is a very jovial host and clearly takes customer relations, and satisfaction, seriously. The welcome was warm and he kept in touch while we waited for our food.Ours was the only unoccupied table when we arrived, and the restaurant was really buzzing. All the diners appeared to be at the same stage of their meal, so presumably they all arrived at about the same time.Given how busy it was, the waiting time wasn't too long and the food was very good, although our sirloin steaks had been grilled a bit longer than we would have liked and were not quite the medium rare that we had asked for.All told it was an enjoyable meal washed down with a bottle of reasonably priced wine.

We recently visited Ceabhar for a three course meal which was superb. Starters included crab salad and pea mint soup, followed by catch of the day bouillabaisse and a Tiree lamb stew. The hot lemon drizzle sponge was a great finish to a very pleasant meal. Duncan is a great host. Highly recommended if your visiting the island and looking for good local food.
