The oysters were medium in size and had only been shucked, requiring me to use a spoon to detach them from their shells before eating. In contrast, the oysters in Oban were larger and fully prepared for immediate consumption. It ap... View all feedback. What stuartmB7403FT likes about Cairndow Oyster Bar Restaurant:
Very late lunch (4pm) and the restaurant was quiet. Staff extremely friendly and engaging. The langoustines were excellent as was the fish cake. The cabbage and egg with the fish cake was unusual, but tasty. Well worth a detour if your heading to Dunoon or Bute. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in a picturesque setting, this restaurant offers an enticing seafood menu that promises a delightful dining experience. Visitors can savor a range of dishes, from succulent scallops and perfectly cooked mussels to classic fish and chips. While the indoor dining is clean and welcoming, outdoor seating may leave something to be desired. The takeaway service is convenient yet may not meet all expectations, particularly for oyster lovers. Friendly staff enhance the ambiance, making it a worthwhile stop for seafood enthusiasts, although dog owners may find limited options. Overall, a varied experience that embodies the charm of coastal dining.
