Bridge Cafe - Argyll Bute
Bridge Cafe
Description
Nestled in Oban, this café offers a mixed experience for families and locals alike. While many appreciate its inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious cakes, others find the service lacking, particularly during busy periods. Families critique the limited children's meal options, high prices, and lack of facilities like a changing area. However, the café's cozy interior and reasonable value for money for adults’ meals shine through, making it a decent spot for a casual meal. With pros and cons to balance, this café remains a popular choice, especially for those seeking comfort and quality in their dining experience.

We needed lunch while traveling and found a great spot. The lentil soup was homemade and delicious. The toastie with chicken, mayo, and chipotle was really tasty and nice and spicy. I would recommend this place to anyone. I haven't tried the cakes yet, but they looked really yummy.
"I recently visited a wonderful soft play area for younger children. In addition to the typical soft play features, there is a room filled with toys, a ball pit, and a large flat area for toy cars and trikes, which kept my kids entertained for hours. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The cafe downstairs offered comfortable seating and served delicious toasties. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even going above and beyond by mailing our forgotten shoes back to us for free. Despite its location on a retail park between Tesco and Lidl, it is still easily accessible from the town center. Overall, it's a great find, especially for keeping kids happy on a rainy day!"
Don’t be confused by the outward appearance, or the location between Tesco and Lidl. This place serves lovely food and great coffee. The staff are very attentive. Do yourself a favour and visit.
I adore this café tucked away behind Lidl in Oban. The cake is delightful and the coffee is excellent. The comfortable seating and great coffee spot ambience make it a must-visit. Don't pass this place up.
In fact my husband said the best coffee he's had in a good while. We met a friend for coffee and bacon roll in the morning, and was so good we came back for lunch! Great atmosphere, good service, good food and fabulous coffee! Love it. Sadly we were up visiting family so don't live in Oban, but we'll be back anytime we're up.
