Nestled alongside a hotel, this vibrant restaurant offers a diverse menu full of delicious options, especially for vegans. Many patrons praise the cozy atmosphere and the friendly, albeit inexperienced staff, with some highlighting the delectable mousakka and creamy hummus. While experiences can vary—ranging from prompt service to instances of raw chicken and forgotten orders—the food generally receives high marks for flavor and preparation. Despite some service hiccups, the restaurant remains a popular destination in Oban, known for its reasonable prices and a wide array of tasty Middle Eastern dishes. The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. I wish they didn't use kohlanoush, but the hummus was fantastic and creamy. The mussels and moschelhan were perfectly seasoned. And the vegan version of cheesecake was outstanding - one of the best desserts I've ever had.
This restaurant, located within a hotel with a separate bar, offers clear vegan options on the menu and has friendly staff. Our favorite dish was definitely the moussaka, although everything we tried was delicious!
Baab is a fantastic spot in Oban for those with a sweet tooth or those following a vegan diet. With a wide array of options to choose from, delicious food, and excellent service, this restaurant is a must-visit. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable.
The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with friendly waitstaff and delicious food. The menu clearly marks vegan and vegetarian options. Be cautious of the spice level, as some dishes come with very spicy sauce. Overall, it was a great experience. (Review updated on October 28, 2023)
We have visited this restaurant multiple times and they offer a nice menu with many vegan options. The food is usually delicious, however, the service has recently been disappointing. Some friends have also had similar experiences. It seems like they have new, inexperienced staff who forget dishes and drinks, and when reminded, they bring them over hastily and place them on the table without saying anything. This is not the high-quality service that they strive for.
