We were recommended this restaurant by a local. After eating at a couple of restaurants on the river where the service was somewhat unwelcoming, Le Sablier du Temps was a lovely surprise. It was a bit quiet when we arrived at 7 with our children, but we ate outside at the back where there was a climbing wall and ping pong table. Serving exactly against her gasping food moderate, lion, and the confit was dryly warmed up in a bad way, the cabinets were top, tournedos of less quality, as a side of a green limb, and this place was not very nice. The red house wine for 2.6 for a glass think you can buy a full cardboard for that. View all feedback.
Went the all family with grand parents. We went out side so no idea what would be a winter dinner inside bur the garden is great. The food is perfectly executed we took the 41 euros me us) and the wine perfectly priced bottle of champagne 1er cru bland de blanc for 55 euros). Great experience really recommend specially the cheese it was ages i did not see a real “ plateau de fromages” while each cheese was simply perfect
This is probably our favourite restaurant in Argentat, particularly for special occasions. We have been going there for several years and have found it consistently good. We always get a warm welcome from management and staff even though it may have been several months since our last visit as we do not live in Argentat all year round. We bring all our visitors there and they are always similarly impressed. To have dinner outside in the Sablier's garden is always one of the highlights of our holiday. Don't miss it!
Since we live here for the past 9 years and have come here several times and also stayed on occasion the food has always been very good, never disappointed.the staff are very friendly and a nice place to go as a couple or even with a family.
Recommended to eat here by local.. Really glad we did, good food and good value for money, would recommend to anyone visiting Argentat as far better than restaurants down by the side of the river
We landed at 8, 2 couples and 4 children at the age of 9 months to 6 years. special menu children at 11€, very good ! and for adults 4 menus at 26,50, really good and very well cooked and presented. Apricot cheesecake is divine.
