Excellent service and food in very pleasant surroundings. Recommend you give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
We stopped and had a couples of drinks and a fantastic burger, nice place place to visit in this beautiful town.
This was my first visit to this pub, and it was an enjoyable experience. It has a good range of real ales and ciders and very reasonably priced!. It clearly attracts the more hardened drinker going by some of the clientele the evening I was there, but that all adds to the experience! They have a number ot TVs and offer SKY Sports but its not in your face and you can avoid this if you choose to. Well worth a visit for a true 'Somerset ' experience!
After a walk we entered the pub at 13:25. While all the guests were still having main course we were sent away. True French hospitality........
We had initially been put off by the shamrock on the door suggesting it was just another Irish pub abroad. But having heard good reports, we decided to give it a try, initially just for an apero. Impressed by the friendly staff, the comfortable interior, the welcome air conditioning not to mention the decent wine and range of beers, we were encouraged to book it for lunch later in the week. It is a busy spot at lunch time and nearly every table was occupied. It seemed that a lot of the local office workers had popped in for their mid-day meal ...always a good sign. We found the service prompt and friendly and the food we ordered was delicious. (We ordered the couscous and the fish and chips). All in all, it was a nice relaxing dining experience. We will be back for more!
