space is clean with handsanitisers at strategic points. the seating area is small and has seating from stand and tables. eating is 5, * chips are well cooked and dry, the pasties are the best to buy some to take home and freeze for the times that they can not get to chippy. the teig on the fish is thin and crispy, but the best on the menu is the scampi. very simple it is the best scampi I have tasted in many per year... What Marie B dislikes about Millars Chippy:
This has to be the worst fish and chip shop I've ever ordered from. I only went there because The Cod Father was closed. My food ended up in the bin because it was absolutely horrible and a complete waste of money. Never again! View all feedback.

I stopped by Millar's chippy for a late lunch/early dinner before the Rugby game tonight. I ordered the lunchtime fish special and was pleasantly surprised to find not 2, but 3 fillets of fish when I opened it at home. I'm not sure if I just got lucky at the end of the busy lunch rush, but it was delicious. Great job to all the staff, keep up the good work. I will definitely be coming back with this kind of quality just around the corner.
We waited for ten minutes for a server to take our order, but nobody was available. We then went to the counter to place our order, but the staff were ignoring us and chatting in the back. After waiting for 15 minutes for service, we decided to leave. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
We have been regular customers at Millers for a few months and have enjoyed dining in as well as getting takeout. However, our most recent order was disappointing. The batter was burnt in certain spots and the fish had a mushy texture, almost like wallpaper paste that had been left out overnight. The batter also seemed undercooked. Overall, the meal was inedible. For the price we paid, we expected prime fillets of fish, but the color and texture suggested it was pollock rather than cod, which should be a milky white color. A friend had recommended Millers to us, but after this experience, we will not be returning. We will be going back to the Cod Father instead.
Called in to pick up a telephone order of a fish supper. No communication from staff as to wither I wanted to place an order or for a collection . Decided to ask if my order was ready an was told yes it sitting here not in the top of the fryer to keep warm but at the side of the till. When I got home couldn't belive what they had served as a fish supper apart from it being cold from sitting beside the till it looked like a battered sausage an absolutely disgrace . If you are for trying this chippy I would ask to see what your getting before paying £8.35 and to think I drove past 3 chippies to go there Never again
1 out of 5 very disappointed all the food was over done too much talking and not enough attention to cooking. We normally go to Tim's.
Millers Chippy presents a mixed bag of dining experiences that are hard to ignore. While some patrons laud the crispy scampi and well-cooked chips, others recount frustrating waits for service and disappointing, even inedible, meals. Reports of burnt batter, mushy textures, and cold takeaway orders abound, leading many to abandon their loyalty. Though the shop's cleanliness and friendly staff have garnered praise, the inconsistency in food quality leaves customers questioning their next visit. Overall, while there are bright spots at Millers, the cloudy reviews suggest a need for improvement to meet the expectations of its varied clientele.

While there were a few items missing, like salt and a tub of taco sauce, and I received Coke Zero instead of regular Coke, I must say it was the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The sliced chicken dinner, peas, and peppered sauce were fantastic. It would have easily been a 5/5 if everything had been complete. I'll definitely order again, and I’ll make sure to have the guy repeat my order this time. The prices were also quite reasonable compared to those in Belfast.
Best chippy by far I honestly wouldn't eat in any other chip shop, miller's has always been my favourite the food is great, staff and owners are fab to

We had a wonderful experience with the food, and the staff was delightful. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!
Good quality food, quick and pleasant service, what more could you ask for when eating on the move.

Amazing splintery friendly staff good size portioning can really busy, though does takeaway and sit in good price-performance ratio worth every case to check
