The atmosphere is very... read more We try to visit Ardres a couple of times a year to buy some wine, visit a wonderful patisserie and enjoy lunch at this lovely restaurant. The atmosphere is very friendly it is obviously popular with locals as well as visitors. The owner speaks...good English and is very helpful with translation of the menu. I had the roast lamb which was delicious and my husband had the bavette steak which was cooked to perfection for his taste. As you would expect in France the wine was also really good! We look forward to our next visit.

However the following day I started to feel very unwell with stomach cramps and diarrhoea that lasted for days. I’m not sure what caused this but just a warning...for anybody else that would like to try the French dish that your stomach may not thank you for it. It’s a real shame because I enjoyed the short visit whilst on my way back to the uk just passing through.

The furniture of the terrace is old, bench table and holed, broken chair, table towels smell the mould!!! And to crown all the prices are high.
