Catfish Corner - Ardmore
Catfish Corner
Description
Nestled in the heart of Ardmore, this local gem offers a mixed bag of dining experiences. While some patrons rave about the vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, and delectable dishes like the Beef Enchiladas and Fried Catfish, others report disappointing meals marked by stale flavors and poor execution. The ambiance is cozy, adorned with charming decor, but the food quality can vary significantly. Also, drink offerings, such as margaritas, have met criticism for being lackluster. Overall, this restaurant has the potential to satisfy with its diverse menu, but diners may need to tread carefully when selecting their meals.

The fish was rubbery, the hush puppies were raw and soaked in oil, the okra was burned and also soaked in oil. ordered Cole slaw and got French fries that were YEP SOAKED IN OIL. I literally threw it all in the trash.. DO NOT EVER EAT HERE!!!
Ambiance is what you would expect. Service and food is WOW! We travel the world, live in a major city and we rarely get margaritas this fresh and food well well prepared with fresh ingredients. The fact that they have both a catfish and Tex Mex menu is a win for all. It's always one of our stops in Ardmore. We highly recommend.
Completely unexpected and delicious. When you can choose from fish, shrimp, crab legs or authentic Tex-mex what more can you ask. Got the fish and chips. Fish was crispy and cooked Just right. Chips (fries) were okay. Not great but perfectly edible. We will definitely be back
They were very friendly. The place was very very clean. The decor is interesting with old License plates on the walls. It was hard to decide which plate to choose... seafood, steak, Mexican The catfish we ordered came out quickly and steaming hot. Good coleslaw (I'm picky on that) Great ice tea. My husband enjoyed his berry cobbler. We will come back for sure.
We came In On a Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy but we got seated quickly and we had gotten our drinks. A must ship had happened and it took 15 minutes to get a drink replaced, all the while they brought Cole slaw, which was to go with my meal, and green relish to the table. Ended up that the food arrived 15 minutes later (Cole slaw had dried out at that point) and we began to Eat. The chicken and fish plate that I got had two strips of catfish that looked to have been seating under a heat lamp, was not fresh at all. The chicken breast strips were fried in flour with no seasoning at all. The okra was still well brand, and it was over cooked and burnt. If this is the best Ardmore has to offer they need to try harder.
