The staff is wonderful, the food selection is great, the portions are more than generous and the taste is like home cooking, which is why I continue to come back when my waistline permits. As Soul Food goes, theirs is the best that I have found in the Houston metropolitan area.

The management are God sent...they always know what my families needs and specialities....the food is flavorful and mouth-watering....I love this restaurant ...

I never will go back to this place I order a large cabbage and a large macaroni &cheese the guy gave me a little over half of a container of cabbage and tried it with the macaroni and cheese and I said on no fill it up he you are trying to get it all I'm like dude I'm paying for a large not a half or small and to top it off they NEVER HAVE ENOUGH FOOD FOR THE DAY no greens no cornbread just nothing so rush more I'm DONE TRYING TO SUPPORT MY PEOPLE IN ARCOLA TEXAS

I'm a little late with my post but felt it's needed. I visited this place once and boy did I want to love it! Staff was very nice and friendly and typically I wouldn't write a review if the staff was nice and everything else was wrong but when me and my family health is compromised I have to speak on it. My entire family all ordered food (takeout) and everyone of us got sick! The only thing that we could think of is 1) food was off temperature 2) serving old expired food from days before 3) Sanitary measures not up to par or 4) ALL OF THE ABOVE! Not sure but it's enough for me to not return. If I would base my review on the customer service it would be 5 stars, but my review is based solely on food quality!
