Reviews - Riptide Cafe
Reviews summary
Nestled near the coast, this café offers a mixed experience. Many praise its flavorful espresso, unique syrups like lavender, and satisfying offerings such as bagel sandwiches and Mexican mocha. Friendly, attentive staff and a welcoming atmosphere earn commendations, with some customers appreciating personalized service. However, long wait times and occasional order mishaps—such as iced drinks served hot or mischarged bills—dampen the experience for others. Coffee quality varies, with some drinks lacking expected richness. Overall, this spot shines with its delicious specialties and charm but could improve consistency, speed, and customer care to fully satisfy its patrons.

Sweet ride through the coffee shop. You have great delays and other drinks. Vegan friendly. You also have some delicious dishes.
I used to visit this place frequently when I worked in Northern California. They have excellent coffee and delicious croissant sandwiches. The staff is fantastic as well. I highly recommend stopping by!

Cute little drive thru, walk up coffee spot. Line takes awhile but so does quality coffee ??

7 reasons to get your coffee here (instead of at the chain outlet across the road):1. The coffee is tastier ?2. It’s locally owned and run!3. You can use your own cup 4. The baristas care about you remember personal details ?5. The business name is hella cool6. It’s been here longer7. This place adds to the community in ways that a chain outlet never will ??
Great drive-thru for a quick breakfast. Coffee was great and so was my bagel. The service with a smile started my day out wonderful
The flavors were amazing, but the food could have been served a bit warmer. Other than that, the coffee and sandwiches were outstanding!
Good convenient drive thru coffeehouse. Great service. Best barista in the known universe.

I’m not sure what kind of frappe I had, but I visited for the first time today. I told the woman what I liked, and it was incredible!
The staff at this restaurant makes espresso drinks to an outstanding standard. There's one woman in particular with whom I would love to have a more formal yet personal conversation.
I absolutely love Riptide Cafe and the warm, cheerful atmosphere! It always brightens my day to receive a friendly greeting by name when I come for my coffee. Max also delights in the doggy treats on their menu. We...

Great coffee, friendly service. Lost a star for incredibly long waiting times. The cars took ten minutes or more to get sandwiches and made it really hard for us to get coffee and back on the street.
The baristas are very friendly, and the espresso is outstanding. It's definitely worth stopping by if you're nearby!
I highly recommend the LITTES CAFÉ! I absolutely enjoy their coffee paninis, particularly their iced coffee frappés. I'm a big fan of their Twist creations. You must try my favorite syrup: lavender—it's fantastic!
A delightful little drive-thru coffee shop. While the wait may be longer than expected, the coffee is absolutely worth it!

I also ordered a white chocolate mocha on my last visit, requested it iced, but ended up with a hot one instead. I didn’t make a fuss since I was running late and just accepted it. Again, there was no apology for the mix-up. When the coffee finally cooled down enough for me to drink, it was a huge disappointment. It tasted burnt, and the creamer seemed off. I couldn't taste any white chocolate at all—it was just like coffee with milk, not a white mocha. Honestly, I’m surprised to see a line at this place. Both the coffee and food are subpar, and customer service needs improvement. As a coffee shop, a smile and a cheerful greeting could go a long way in making the experience more enjoyable.
My partner ordered a 12oz Americano for $3.50, but we ended up paying $10 because we were shortchanged from a $20 bill. We noticed the missing $5, which seemed to have accidentally gone into the tip jar along with the $1.50 tip we left, but our inquiry didn’t help. Overall, it felt like we were ripped off by Riptide. I don’t think we’ll be returning, and if we do, I won’t be paying with cash again. The coffee was decent, but definitely not worth $10 for a 12oz cup.
