Luke's Joint - Arcata

I was in Arcata to tour the Humboldt State University Campus with my daughter. We stopped at Luke 's joint to grab some lunch before going on the tour. Too much shopping time spent shopping in town square left us with a bit of a time crunch, so I ordered tomato basil soup to go. I got it in a cup with a lid and drank it on the run. Without a doubt, it was THE BEST tomato basil soup I have ever had--and I have had a lot. The occasional small tender chunks of tomato and basil added a texture that made the soup truly divine! The staff was also pleasant and personable.

For having studied anthropology he sure doesn't know how to treat people. I'm friends with a previous employees who was fired by text message pretty cowardly don't you think. I was told some pretty bad stories like how he's obsessed with bath saltPIs. And one where he went on a sky binge and fired someone cause he thought they were the devil. Doesn't sound like a very mentally stable guy. Let his parents support him. We as the community shouldn't

I was walking by lukes joint a couple weeks ago and heard him screaming at a female employee asking her if she was retarded. I have heard some not very nice stuff about him from past emoployees and a few current ones. Those people are the community and if he supports the community so much why dont any of his workers like him.I will never eat there again, thosekinda people dont need to be supported.

Luke is a horrible person to work for. He yells and screams at his workers,doesn't value them at all. He puts on a fake nice guy act to pretend to be part of the community . I never heard one good word about him from any of the employees,and all the food at Luke's joint is cooked in a microwave there's no ovens or burners there
