Was Mike Hawk at Campground a mag?
The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional—everyone was friendly and accommodating. The prices are reasonable considering the excellent quality of the food. It's the best place to enjoy dinner in this small town. Food rating: 5/5. View all feedback.
What Nya Schaden dislikes about Campground:
My partner and I were having dinner at Campground on the last night of our vacation. We ordered 2 appetizers, the carpaccio and the pate/mousse, both of which were delicious. We were in the middle of savoring both dishes when the server showed up with our entrees. She had to have noticed the shock on our faces when she approached the table, but she chose to ignore it. My partner and I were so taken back, that neither... View all feedback.

Quiet the enjoyable dinning experience. Had a friends birthday here (Happy Birthday Franz) and decided to take the road less traveled by and order a dozen deviled eggs... I was not disappointed. Ya see I farm eggs for a living, and these sweet littleovals where top of the line! Long story short the food is amazing cant wait to move on beyond the eggs next time I visit.
CHRYS! most perfect bartender! we had the special mimosa which featured a lovely cinnamon taste, then the espresso martini which was somehow more wonderful than any latte i have ever had, dont skip the bartenders brekkie. better than san fran and boston!make sure to be kind to chrys he took great care of us!
We sat at the bar for dinner (tables all booked) and I highly recommend this! We ordered 4 cocktails (2 classics and 2 of their inventions) and all were great. The bartenders are serious about cocktails and it shows. They also doubled as our servers withexactly the right amount of attentiveness. Steaks were cooked perfectly. The trio of sauces was also on point. Everything wehad was between solid and great. Scallops were the tiniest bit on the rare side but that's how I like them so no worries for me.If you have different ideas about scallops you might ask them to keep em on the fire a bit longer as they're quite thick. Allin all, the best restaurant meal I've had in this part of California. Seems like they stay pretty busy so I'd suggest areservation.

Came in for brunch today and as always I had to tweak my order! But Matt came out of the kitchen to clarify and ensure that I received exactly what I expected. That coupled with the l espresso martini made by the amazing Hunter.. and finally for Tessa to over hear me thinking about a gift certificate, jumped into action and got it done! What a pleasant chef and crew and such a joy to feel cared for! Great customer service! Started my Saturday off with a huge smile!
Always great steaks, best brunch in town, only whiskey sour worth it's salt in the entire county. Great drinks, and wonderful mixology. underrated and well worth the money. we love brunch here.. period. sit at the bar if it's super busy. the bartenders are G's and will defend take care of you. order a bite, get a drink, and brunch away.. seems better than average, but this is the norm in SF. a strong brunch game is key. And Campground has one! Best weekend brunch in town. Chiliqueles, Campground breakfast add steak!!! Seasonal omlettes, waffles, yum.. speciality drinks yum.. classics yum. evening dinner steaks chops salads and sides. I like a ribeye or new Yyork medium rare, with a flight of dipping sauces...Campfire drink.. smokey goodness... go!!! ohh and when they have a dry aged tomahawk we'll when in Rome. I've done it.. it's delish!!
Probably the best you gone get round these parts. Really good service cute ambiance. All in the camping theme. Large space, full service at the bar. Avoid coming at the end of the night on weekends, they do run out of popular items. I wasn't in the mood for meat so I had to settle for a salad and side dish. Overall food was decent, but missed the mark. Presentation was nice.
Why is this place so expensive? It's good. But all the sides are extra. I went once for dinner and once for brunch. The wouldn't make me scrambled whites.
I waited an hour and a half for a disappointing steak that was overcooked and lacked any flavor! They had run out of ribeyes and pushed us to choose a much pricier steak since that was the only option left. The service was incredibly slow too! To top it off, we were the only Hispanic customers in the restaurant, which added to the uncomfortable experience. Save your time—this place is not worth the wait!

Service/waiter was great, made us feel comfortable and welcome. The food was good, but it does feel overpriced for what it is. You're definitely paying for the ambiance. I'd come back here for the drinks! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Seriously had the best experience ever here with my family. Chris at the bar was so incredibly knowledgeable and you could tell he was proud of where he works and the products they serve! Hunter behind the bar was so attentive and kind, calling everyone by name, slinging drinks, keeping everyones glass full. Zach, our server, was so awesome. He knew the menu thoroughly, had great wine recommendations, sold us on the specials, and made our experience unforgettable! The food and drinks were great quality and the Chefs knew what they were doing. We licked every plate clean. We will be back and recommend to our friends and family!

This was one of the best meals I've ever had! 1st time finding a steak that compares to the family farm raised beef we eat regularly at home in South Dakota (I usually don't even order steak for that reason). The rack of lamb was #1 far and away. The delicious drinks were also an added bonus. Highly recommend and worth every penny!
Amazing experience all around.I’ll start with the place environment. The restaurant has a cozy, more intimate atmosphere. Very nice for a date night and for luxurious meals experience. Clean and well designed floor plan. We did not set at the bar, but it was very full and it looked like a very nice area to unwind after a long week/day. The kitchen area what I was absolutely in love with the most. It’s very open and the lighting is distributed very well. The aroma of the food was just divine.Staff: the welcoming guests staff, she was super friendly and polite. Had our reservation ready in les than 10secs. We were escorted to our booth; she had gone over our reservation notes and was very knowledgeable about food restrictions we had added to our reservation. (Not a lot of places actually train their staff to understand all different food requirements, so I was really impressed)Our waitress was absolutely amazing and she had taken care of us very well. Our drinks, food, and side dishes arrived very quickly. She had attended us at all right times to check on us and was super wonderful. Thank you Madison,Food experience: expect this to be a high end quality and an expensive outing. If you are trying to impress your partner, family or just for yourself pleasure this is the place to go for a great time. The food was delicious. We only had vegetarian/non meat dishes and nonalcoholic drinks. Everything, and I mean everything was just perfect. If I could eat the meat they had I would try it, but I have food restrictions and I truly can’t imagine how the meat dishes would taste, if the vegetarian options were absolutely scrumptious. We are going back for another try for their brunch menu, and I’ll update this post with more pictures and information. Dishes we ordered:House made Pita Bread RicottaFrench onion soupStuffed Delicata SquashOyster MushroomsPried Brussel Sprouts Drinks:The forager (mock tail)Ice tea
I visited this restaurant on my first night in town and ordered the wedge salad, filet mignon with peppercorn butter, and crispy potatoes. The butter was incredibly delicious and elevated my steak to one of the best I've ever had! It was so good that I returned the next night to have the same meal. The staff provided fantastic service with big smiles. I highly recommend this place!
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and drinks at this restaurant. Considering it's in a small town, the offerings were comparable to what you’d expect in a major city. My squash salad was excellent, although the carrots were a bit too firm for my taste; still, they were flavorful. My husband really enjoyed his steak. The fries we ordered took some time to arrive, but they were absolutely delicious once they did.

The steaks are incredibly delicious, and the Brussels sprouts are some of the best I've ever tasted. This restaurant would be a standout steakhouse in any city and could easily rank among the finest dining establishments in the area.
I have never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, with great lighting and decor. The tables in the back offer a sense of privacy. Interestingly, the dish that stands out most in my memory is the Artichoke Dip—definitely give it a try; you won’t be disappointed. While the prices reflect the quality of the food, it is absolutely worth it.
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. I celebrated a friend's birthday here (Happy Birthday, Franz) and decided to take a unique approach by ordering a dozen deviled eggs. I wasn't disappointed! The eggs were delightful, and those little ovals were absolutely on point! In short, the food was amazing, and I can't wait to indulge in more of those deviled eggs on my next visit.
If your looking for a great place to eat quality meat, Campground has it covered. The service here is top tier as is their food. Pricey, but definitely getting your money's worth. Also, very good drink options for those who enjoy having some alcohol whilst eating their favorite steak.

CHRYS! An amazing bartender! We tried the special mimosa, which had a delightful hint of cinnamon, followed by the espresso martini that was somehow even better than any latte I've ever tasted. Don’t forget to ask for Brekkie, too. This place is better than those in San Francisco and Boston! Just be sure to treat Chrys with kindness—he really took great care of us!
The steak, aged for 58 days and dry-aged to perfection, was outstanding! The staff were excellent, and the drinks, particularly the Old Fashioned, were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant!
This is a fantastic spot for brunch! I had the French toast, and the sauce they used was outstanding; the berries were fresh and vibrant! I also enjoyed it with a mimosa and some great coffee. I highly recommend this place for brunch!
