My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant for the first time, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic, and the staff was very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious! Since it was my first visit, I was truly impressed. I've tried many Italian restaurants, and this one was definitely the best I've ever been to. View all feedback.
What Jessica N doesn't like about Abruzzi:
Decent. Nothing special. I went here on a whim and it was fancy but completely underwhelming. The food was bland and not much choice. I have met one of the past cooks (possibly current but I met him 3 years ago) and he was the most passionate person who wanted things done the right way. I can say that. But I still wasn't a fan of the actual food. Nice servers! View all feedback.
Really enjoyed sitting in the bar for Happy Hour and getting to know Shayla and the staff. Oysters, steamers, wonderful wines and so happy Abruzzi 's still has her incredibly sweet pea agnolotti on the menu! My Fav! This place has been for us for 12 years!
Our favorite place to go when we're in Arcata. Excellent food and they treat you like you're their family. I had the carbonara and it was perfect also you must try the goat cheese stuffed ravioli on the appetizer menu it's the best thing you could put in your mouth. Looking forward to our next visit there
Food was fresh and delicious! My fiance and I stopped here for a quick bite during our stay in Arcata. Cozy atmosphere and great service. Would certainly recommend and we would definitely return. Their Brussel sprout panceta appetizer was out of this world. Great place.
I was hesitant to try Italian food in this area again.when we walked in the decor is a bit dated but the food was delicious! I had a 14 oz ribeye with mushroom risotto and asparagus. The steak was cooked a perfect med rare and the sides were a great compliment. The bread was fresh and the tomato basil soup was great. Chicken saltimbocca with linguini was also delicious. The service was fantastic. I wish we came here first when we were looking for Italian cuisine in Arcata.
For the wait, this place is not really worth it. I understand that italian restaurants usually take longer than most, but this place was not attentive enough to their customer. I came in looking for a specific restaurant that wasn't this place. The worker at the front desk suggested to give them a try and that the food was amazing. Thus, I gave it a shot. When they took my order, they asked if I wanted bread and I said yes. After a good 50 minutes, my food came in and they asked if I needed anything else, and I told them I could use that bread they offer in the beginning. Still took a while for them, and the bread wasn't even worth. However, despite all the gimmicks, the pasta was decent. Nothing too note worthy of the dish. I think the fact that I was hungry coming in and them taking forever made me loose my appetite and I was unable to enjoy the meal.
