The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious! The dumplings were exceptional; it was my first time trying them, and I loved every bite. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the wait time can be quite long. View all feedback.
What David H doesn't like about Din Tai Fung:
Their dumplings are not as good as they used to be in the original Arcadia location. Their spicy noodle dish is great though. Waiting to get in is exhausting and it's become more and more corporate. I yearn for their original location. View all feedback.
Food is always fresh, hot full of flavor! Some of our favorites are the green beans, chicken fried rice, chicken fried noodles, pork XLB, shrimp pork spicy wontons the sweet tarot XLB for dessert!
The lines here are LONG. My friend and I waited over an hour to be seated. Fortunately this is located inside the Santa Anita mall so we were able to walk around to kill time. The ambiance inside was very nice and gorgeous. Our server was also attentive and nice. For the food, we ordered: Cucumber salad String beans w/ garlic Kurobuta pork XLB Chicken Mushroom buns Vegetable and Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons Sweet Taro Buns The cucumber salad was decent. I couldn't taste any garlic in the string beans w/ garlic, so I was disappointed, but at least it was kind of crispy. The kurobuta pork XLB was good and flavorful, but really small. The chicken and mushroom buns were bland. As for the spicy wontons, everyone raves about them so I was excited to try it, but it was very underwhelming. I got the vegetable and kurobuta pork spicy wontons. They weren't spicy at all and were super bland. The sweet taro buns were just ok. Overall, I found the food to be underwhelming. It was also expensive and the portion sizes were small! Usually I don't mind spending more money on food, if the quality and value is high, but I don't feel like that's what I got here. The wait time is also insanely long. I had a positive customer service experience, but the wait time, price, and quality/value of the food makes me hesitant to come back.
The food at Din Tai is all very good across the board. Love the veggies. The servers and wait staff always are respectful and help us out whenever we need suggestions or questions about the menu. And the seating and layout is comfy. Enough room and doesn't feel like you're too close to people
Good food prices are high but the Food is ok missed my sesame dumplings not the same they only har the steamed buns ones
Din Tai Fung is a culinary gem! The moment you step inside, you're welcomed by an inviting atmosphere that's just the right blend of cozy and upscale. It's the kind of place that suits any occasion. Now, let's talk about the food. Those dumplings are pure magic. The Xiao Long Bao, in particular, are a revelation delicate skin, savory broth, and tender meat make them a must try. And if you're feeling adventurous, go for the truffle and pork dumplings; they're a flavor explosion. Beyond dumplings, their menu offers an array of delightful dishes, from tasty noodles to flavorful rice options. Each dish is expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to offer suggestions. While there might be a wait during busy hours, it's absolutely worth it. Whether you're a long time fan or a first timer, Din Tai Fung consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. It's no wonder they're known for having some of the best dumplings in town. Don't miss out on this culinary treasure!
