Apt is pretty laid back. I was looking for a place to have a cup of coffee. They were closed at the cafe, but the patisserie was still open. They made me a cup of coffee. They have lots of baked goods as well as candied fruits. Apt is known for the candied fruits and this is a good place to get them. They have a lot of it and I ended up buying some. We make a point of visiting this patisserie when vacationing in Provence. Christophe and Veronique Rousset have been in the business all of their lives. Christophe's father owns a boulangerie near Montelimar and bakes incredible baguettes. The vienoisserie are a highlight. Christophe makes the best Almond Croissants anywhere. They have a touch of rum extract in the filling. We always buy extra to ship back to the states! This is a Salon du The as well, so you may find a comfortable seat inside or out and enjoy an éclair or other wonderful entremets while admiring the historic village. A full service bakery with a friendly staff that can speak a little English if you prod them. I have known this couple for over 20 years and you can mention that the l'american, Peter sent you!

I admit I'm not as enthusiastic as others. I ordered two birthday cakes, a chocolate and a castel, and I found as well as the other 15 guests that it was quite basic. prices are not very high (60 euros on 10 parts on 6) but I am accustomed to much more fine on aix in Provence. I also bought bread. even critical: ordinary.
I think one of the best in the territory, with honest prices, I strongly recommend, good continuation
The cakes are delicious! the cappuccino too. a charming and gourmet place... or we love to go and have a good time. in addition....open even on Sunday! .chapeau!
