Food was very good, but they couldn’t find our reservation on arrival, lack of urgency to find a table, and service seemed somewhat reluctant as opposed to enthusiastic. Difficult to tell if service was rude as we don’t speak much Italian, but waitresses/waiters were disinterested and took an age to return with requests for drinks and the bill in particular. That said 4 star as pizzas were delicious and very reasonably priced.

My husband and I s... read more We had dinner at Mari Monti on a Monday evening and they were just about the only restaurant that were open early Monday evening in Apricale. My husband and I shared a delicious fresh mixed salad. The owner and chef then informed us that she has freshly picked porcini mushrooms. (We were travelling the country roads that days and say people in the woods picking mushrooms ever so often). Shen then made us the most beautiful bowl of pasta with the fresh porcini mushrooms. A celebration of fresh, local produce.
