There?s not a lot options in Appleton for Malaysian. Perhaps this is the only one and they do a pretty job. Our family went for dinner and the kids really enjoyed the unlimited soup that came with our meal. Some items were pretty pricey because we were told they were imported from Malaysia. All in all a good spot to get you a sense of Malaysian food or satisfy your cravings for the time being until you can make it Atlanta.

This is definitely one of my favorite spots in town. I'm neither vegetarian nor vegan, but they offer a wide variety of options, and those dishes are truly delicious.

Kroket was delicious. The sesame balls are homemade. The avocado salad was fresh and ripe. I'm very impressed. Everything was delicious.

You definitely need some time to settle in when you come here... and a bit more time to place your order. It takes a little while for your food to arrive, but it’s totally worth the wait. They offer several vegan options, all of which are delicious. Occasionally, you might get soup, other times maybe eggs... I’ve never had the same dining experience here twice, and I actually enjoy that.

The food is good, but the service is somewhat unusual. They actually watched me eat and took my plate right out of my hands. I’m not a fan of that kind of service.

Nestled in Appleton, this restaurant offers a rare taste of Malaysian cuisine, albeit with some quirks. Diners can expect a delightful array of dishes, including several delicious vegetarian and vegan options. Patrons often enjoy the unlimited soup that accompanies meals, particularly appealing to families. However, the service can be unconventional, with staff closely monitoring guests—sometimes even taking plates directly from hands. While the waiting time for seating and food preparation can be lengthy, many agree the unique flavors make it worthwhile, and provides a memorable experience that’s worth revisiting.

It can take a while to get seated, and then some time for your order to be taken. After that, you’ll wait a bit longer for your food, but it’s definitely worth it. They offer several delicious vegan options. Sometimes you’ll get soup, other times egg rolls—I’ve never had the same dining experience here twice, and honestly, I kind of like that.

The food at Java Warung is enjoyable, but the service felt a bit unusual. The staff literally watched me while I was eating and took the plate from my hands. I’m not a fan of that style of service. The menu itself offers good options, though.

Java Warung is definitely one of my favorite spots in town. Although I'm not vegetarian or vegan, they offer a wide variety of options for those diets, and every dish I've tried is absolutely delicious.
