Reviews - Fronteras
Reviews summary
Dining at this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences, blending exceptional culinary delights with significant shortcomings. Many patrons rave about the authentic flavors, particularly the chicken tacos and house salsa, declaring the food fantastic. However, issues arise with pricing transparency, cleanliness, and customer service. Guests have reported feeling rushed or deceived at checkout, while unkempt restrooms raise hygiene concerns. Additionally, communication barriers, such as a non-responsive phone line, hinder accessibility. Despite the delicious offerings, these frustrations leave some diners hesitant to return, highlighting the need for improvements in service and cleanliness to match the quality of the food.
Was Chris Calaway at Fronteras a mag?
The staff was very welcoming, the tasty chimichangas were served hot, and the homemade red salsa had quite a kick. The big guy left feeling completely satisfied. View all feedback.
What Chris Calaway dislikes about Fronteras:
The ambiance could use some improvement. The meal didn't offer good value for the price. I recently visited a Mexican restaurant in Shawano, Wisconsin, where the food was better, the prices were more reasonable, and the bathrooms were cleaner. I enjoy exploring new Mexican restaurants while traveling, but I was disappointed with this experience. However, the service was satisfactory, so I left a 20 percent tip. View all feedback.

I done for food not for experience and this place was fantastic. The house salsa and hot sauce were very tasty and properly spicy. Everyone in my party were extremely satisfied with our meals and would happily go back. Those interested in ambiencewill be disappointed, but close your eyes and you'll have a great meal :
The food at Fronteras is excellent. However, I’m giving it 2 stars because I have never felt so unsafe in my life. If I hadn’t been with my husband, I would never go there alone.

I tried to place an order over the phone multiple times, but unfortunately, each time I called, I got a message saying that the number wasn't accepting calls at the moment. It seems the phone may have been turned off or the line was busy. This is not an effective way to attract or keep customers.

Here after another place I like was closed and am very glad that the place was closed because I found a new Mexican favorite in the fox cities.
I'd give it 5 stars for the amazing food but when I went to the bathroom, it wasn't clean and there was no paper towel. My boyfriend used the mens which had no soap or towels and feces on the toilet. All I could think of was the workers who made our food used these bathrooms. It is so gross and unfortunate. I will never return due to the disgusting bathrooms and that's a pity, the food was amazing.
I absolutely love dining on authentic cuisine, and I highly recommend trying the chicken tacos, which are my favorite dish. I have tried about half of the menu and have thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience.
I felt deceived during my visit to this restaurant. I saw a sign advertising a $7.00 burrito and decided to order it along with rice, beans, and a drink. However, when it came time to pay, the waiter informed me that my total was $16.00. Feeling rushed and frustrated, I paid the bill without questioning it. In the end, I realized I had paid $9.00 for just the side items. I was upset with myself for not addressing the issue, but decided I would not be returning to this establishment and would share my experience with others. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience to feel cheated.
The food was mediocre, and the overweight waiter was quite overwhelming. My son got his meal before even receiving his glass of water, which we had to request three times—and we were charged for it! The kids' quesadilla was cold, and the cheese tasted off. The "sopis" weren’t authentic sopes, and the chips were burnt with watery salsa. Despite all this, it was the most beautifully decorated restaurant I’ve ever visited. I suggest carefully reviewing your bill before paying.
