Costa Vida - Apple Valley

The place is very modest. So I mean, it feels like an average white suburban stripe marble restaurant that tries to be a Mexican. But the food is much better than you would expect. I bought Steak-Tacos and they were the best tacos outside of South Saint Paul I had in MN. The black beans were delicious, they had a great taste... so much that both my sons (127) said they had nothing to do with rice. All I have eaten tastes fresh and I would recommend it very much. If you were in sharp, the Salsas would barely tickle, I would skip them all together. By the way, the flower tortillas were delicious! But I didn't see any corstortillas on site. But they have Cholula and Tapatio bottles from the soda machine.

This place is awesome, it’s the only location east of Utah that I know of. Wish they would expand into the northern part of the Twin Cities so I wouldn’t have to drive all the way down from Blaine when I want one of these delicious burritos!

Their bowls are great, as well as the quesadillas and rice and beans. I'd choose this over Chipotle any time.
