Ciudad serves reliably authentic Mexican fare with bold flavors, generous portions and standout specialty drinks. A friendly, family-oriented spot with ample seating and sports on TV, it offers a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. However, experiences vary: occasional slow service, inconsistent dishes (soggy tortillas, weak seafood caldo, off salsa), and a hard-to-find entrance have been reported. Check hours before visiting.
The food here is fantastic and truly representative of authentic Mexican cuisine. The flavors are excellent, regardless of what you choose from the menu. Unfortunately, it was closed when we attempted to visit on April 15, 2019. I hope this was just a temporary situation and not a permanent closure.
I, honestly, didn't think it was possible to prepare bad Mexican food. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. The portions were amazing, so we immediately asked for boxes. We left the food and the boxes behind.
Place is delicious and our go to spot for authentic Mexican food. Very good flavors no matter what we order. Sadly it was closed when we tried to go on 4/15/19 but hopefully it is just some emergency and not closed for good.
My family goes to Ciudad quite often! The staff are always friendly, and the food us EXTREMELY reliable and good. The restaurant feels like a pretty typical Mexican restaurant, but there's plenty of seating. You can watch plenty of sports,especially soccer, while there. The atmosphere is quiet and not rushed. This restaurant is, unfortunately, difficult to seefrom the road and even more difficult to figure out how to get into. I hope the business picks up for them it's an excellentplace.
Some of the best authentic Mexican food I've had in the Cary and Apex area of North Carolina. I've been here multiple times, and have enjoyed everything! Great specialty drinks too!
