We really enjoyed the Gibson. The host was super-welcoming and kind. The young lady who served us was delightful: professional, friendly and efficient. Our food tasted great. Plus, the server recommended a beer with Key Lime flavoring and it was uniquely delicious. Thanks, Franklin, we’ll be back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Franklin At The Gibson Inn:
We had our seat for at least 20 mins before someone even approached us. We had to ask for menu 3 times. After they brought my food, I asked for fork, but waitress forgot about it. I had to steal from next table. For the price I was at least expected good service. Food was OK. Nothing special. Bar was cool though. View all feedback.
If ambience is a consideration for dining experience then it was lacking in my opinion. As a price fixed menu offering of over $100 a plate I would have expected a little more decorum. Only two of the wait staff were appropriate in their attire and appearance. The rest of the staff wearing T-shirts and shorts were more suitably attired to be working a Greasy Spoon . Though several of the tables had a respectable white table cloth, the table at which we were seated was devoid of such. The bill arrived with a 20% tip included. The serving was not impressive, however, our server was pleasant, polite, attentive and attractively attired. The only value I found at this dining was the service of our server whom I tipped above the 20%.
Quaint. efficient and very good overall. Had lunch on the veranda. All went well and despite their ever changing concepts., and I’ve tried them all, this one — the Franklin Cafe— seems to fit well!
Great service, beautiful bar area, both outdoor and indoor dining options. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Great for anniversary, birthday or any other special occasion. Will definitely dine at the Gibson Inn again. Enjoyed sitting in the Parlor Bar having a cocktail before dinner.
Overpriced for food that appeared to have been prepared in a diner and service below what one would expect at a Waffle House.
Food is great, as always. Mixed drinks are not good. The fifteen dollar old fashion (an extra five because I don't care for Jim Beam) was likely made by someone not even knowing the ingredients. Stick to wine or beer.
