What Melanie Harris Rowan doesn't like about Dolore's Sweet Shoppe:
It astounds me that this place is rated 4.5. The only thing I can think is that these folks really don’t know what really good food tastes like. Cafeteria food at its worst is how I would describe Delores’ Sweet Shoppe. Skip this one if you have good taste. Price per person: $1–10 View all feedback.
Husband went there with the kids. Big portions for the price and there was enough to share meals. Service was great. They stay busy.
Cookies were very good. My favorite was the chocolate chip that had nuts and coconut in them. Our breakfast was good. Eggs cooked perfect. Delores is amazing. At 85, she still is working.
A quaint little breakfast/lunch place inside an old house. Old pics on the walls and a handful of tables. We had breakfast there and the cinnamon rolls were over the top. Locals pop in and out so a fun atmosphere too.
Loves this place in Apalachicola. If I remember correctly, this is the third place, and always thoroughly enjoy the food. Beautiful breakfast and delicious desserts.
It is definitely a place I will go back to the city for the next time, it is unique in its own small way and the staff themselves are all very polite and friendly. The place was recommended by several people I talked to and did not disappoint them, the food was great. If you are looking for a place for breakfast or lunch in the city, this is the place. You are only open for breakfast and lunch so you can get there early, you will not be disappointed, I promise you.
