Shinsekai - Aomori

Due to the pandemic, Japan has not been able to visit for almost 2 years. Had a search on Google to make sure that my favorite restaurant is still well under this critical situation, and find out that I did not make an assessment about it. I agree with many reviewers that they are friendly, food is good. Because of my husband's food allergy, we usually visit the same restaurant during our stays as soon as we find a quality. We become friends with the owner and he specially arranged seafood and sukiyaki for us to taste different flavors. To one of the reviewers they are not discriminatory, we have the same experience with our first visit. They say no to us as there is a long queue, and see our allergy list. They have difficulties in communicating with foreigners and cannot express the reason, the simplest word they find is no. (Translation apps was not usual at the time). We communicate patiently with body language and we have since been served cordially. I'm very happy to meet her again.

Very good bbq food, price is reasonable, staff is friendly and helpful, no doubt will be back

Korea style BBQ in Japan. Of course, it's different from the original Korea. But it's great. Must book on site. Very popular place here.

It is a very cozy atmosphere. The staff are very accomodating. The Owner Mr. Kawanishi is very Entertaining the meat portions are value for money. Would come back again
