Used to be a great place to drink and eat at the middelheim museum. Service is bad, food is good. Kids are not allowed. A friend of mine got kicked out because his toddler cried for not even a minute. It where literally thrown out in the freezing and snowing cold. The owner is literally Scrooge.
After a cultural and beautiful walk in the two parks of the Middelheim , I enjoy the nice view from the large well oriented terrace of the castle of Middelheim. I come often to eat a soup and the two last times were disappointing.. Always tomatoes soup.. half a portion than usual..extremely salty and the bread was not very fresh! The young man taking orders looks pissed off so does the new waitress.. everything looks like it’s too much ..no smiling but a long face with quiet the attitude! What a shame! I love going there and it is starting to get significantly worse..the week before i came too and they had no soup nor bread ! So for lunch i had to eat a cake..
The whole experience feels like complete relaxation after a peaceful walk in the forest. Hidden within the trees is a modern art museum — mainly sculptures — which was a delightful discovery. The café is just okay, but when you take the full concept into account, I’d still rate the experience a 5/5.
Cafe Mika is a hidden treasure near the Middelheim Museum. The staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Despite the cold weather outside, the restaurant provides a cozy retreat for visitors to enjoy a delicious meal. Make sure to stop by if you're in the area.
