Just next to the cathedral, there is a square called Groenplaats. It is a large square with a statue of Rubens (I think) and where the tram passes. In one corner of the square you will find this fry shop. It is relatively small, but it has a room where you can sit and enjoy the view of the square while savoring your cone of fries! Of course, the fries are very good, this is the specialty of the house (and you are in Belgium after all). Don't worry, it's actually a fry shop but they don't just sell fries, you can also choose a side dish with your fries (meatballs, sausages, etc.). I really liked the atmosphere, especially the lady who prepares the fries, she is a friendly and very funny woman! If you take a picture of her, she will pretend you have to give her money in exchange, which amuses her a lot. Anyway, this is a small place full of good humor that I highly recommend!

Discovered this restaurant while exploring the Christmas Market on the square during the holidays. It was a pleasure to try the authentic Belgian fries prepared using the double cooking method. I have fond memories of this cozy spot, with a friendly gentleman serving us. There was a bit of a wait to be served, but the fries and sauces were delicious.
The fries are delicious and well-priced. The restaurant is always busy, which is a good sign.
Telling my Antwerp friends the best fries in the city. And I was not disappointed. Perfect cooking and good potatoes!
