We had lunch at this rest... read more I'm writing this negative review since I got in touch via email with the restaurant describing the problem but never got any response. We had lunch at this restaurant mid-October 2023. Me and my friend had one oyster each and a main fish dish. The food both looked and tasted great, there didn't seem to be a need for concern. However, 1.5h after lunch, my friend started throwing up uncontrollably several times, out of the blue. It seems that one of the oysters we got served had gone bad. We had no other raw or sensitive food that day or before, so other causes are highly unlikely. We can also rule out a virus since she was fine again after that. Of course these things may happen with seafood if you're unlucky but we certainly didn't expect that at a rather fancy place like this. Food poisoning obviously hints at quality issues and I find it even more concerning that Fiskeskur didn't find the matter worth responding. Given this experience, I would recommend others to avoid this restaurant, there is more central places to have (fresh! seafood in Antwerp anyway. Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

My first impression was slightly mixed because of the uniquely styled exterior, and in my opinion the quality of the wines deserves more refined glassware. That said, the overall experience quickly made up for it. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to share thoughtful wine recommendations. Inside, the restaurant has a classy atmosphere that really enhances the dining experience. Most importantly, the food was outstanding, fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. Prices are on the higher side, but absolutely fair for the quality you receive. I had a great time and would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for excellent fish dishes.
