Contribute FeedbackTonight we had the unfortunate to visit this restaurant. each restaurant was filled with people who let the scene set for the restaurant. we were terrified, we finally got a table, we were sitting half an hour later, although we finally got a few drinks....The table that sat just before us had finished their meal before we were even asked what we wanted to eat. we ordered our meal and thought everything was in order. the table before us has changed the hands. the second family ordered their meal and it came delivered before our meal. two hours it took to serve us a cure. we have played cards, it was so bad eating was terrible the so-called Provencal rose was not pink it was urinois how can the local house wine be so terrible avoid them as the plague. I would rather starve.
I read some other reviews and we had none of the issues people had. We went twice as we were hungry and the service was fast and the food was plentiful. The kitchen clean which I always look into, to make a decision to where I eat. La Cascade got my seal of approval.
Ventured here with family this evening. Wish we hadn't.Extremely slow service. Don't go if hungry.2 starters eventually arrived along with 2 kids mains, roughly an hour after ordering. Calamari like dried rubber, frozen bought in and then deep fried in old oil? Melon and Parma starter was ok if very minimal on the Parma (only deux tranches, as they say), poor value for 13€ even in a tourist trap. This is when it went further down hill. Starter plates and kids mains plates eventually taken, 15-30 mins after finishing. Mains: pizza 4 season heavily burnt around edges, then went cold waiting for second main of Moules et frites to arrive. Eventually sent pizza back as was largely inedible, plus we were tired of waiting for second main aka "the no show". Various other tables complaining around us for all manor of different issues. Was mayhem for a time. Told waiters (waiters i.e. multiple, as telling our one got us no where via his avoidance) to cancel the mains in the end as we're unwilling to wait any longer. Asked to see manager or "director" to resolve, she literally could not have cared less in my view except she did agree to cancel the 2 mains from the bill as we hadn't had them, erm yes I should think so!!!! Still. Had to then ask twice for kids deserts though even despite the problems! And finally, pièce de résistance, as soon as kids deserts arrived I asked for the bill - which they delayed until I repeatedly asked, and even then they got it wrong as tried over charging us for 1) the returned/cancelled pizza, 2) some fries and 3) a second bottle of wine which we also had cancelled due the issues and the excessive wait! Unacceptable. AVOID!!!!
Came for a birthday meal. Paid 16 euros for a flash fry steak they claimed was a sirloin. Not good food at all and very overpriced. Service was also poor. Been here 1.5 hrs now and not been offered any more drinks or opportunity to ask for one! Avoid
Ordered a salad and pasta with fruits de mer. After two rounds of drinks I asked the waiter how long it still would last. He went away and came back with the dishes. Pasta was tasteless. Watery tomatosauce and only squid pieces. No clamps, no fishparts, no moules. Returned to the waiter who asked for something else. Got a pizza napolitaine. Also no taste, not cooked bottom. If you want taste, then don't go here. There are more and better restaurants there.
