I made a catering order for pickup at 5 PM, but it wasn't ready until 5:15 PM. While that wasn't a major problem, I do want to point out that the potato balls were overcooked, which was disappointing. However, Marcie was really nice and gave me a refund for them. I also ordered white rice, beans, empanadas, and pepper steak, and I felt like I received a lot of food for the price I paid.
The food was amazing! It was the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had outside of Miami! Everything was bursting with flavor and had that delightful homemade quality. My husband and I visited for a lunch date, but we will definitely be bringing our boys along next time!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is amazing! We always love visiting for the pernil and sweet plantains. You simply have to try the tres leches cake; it's a must!
This is our favorite restaurant. The food is fantastic and always fresh. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the owner is very welcoming; she always greets her customers with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a wonderful home-cooked meal at an affordable price.
While the Mofongo was flavorful, I expected it to have a smoother, softer texture. It ended up being quite firm, which was a surprise since it was my first experience with it, and I’m not an expert. However, the steak that came with it was exceptional—cooked to perfection and full of flavor! The staff were incredibly friendly, offering helpful suggestions and checking on customers at their tables multiple times. I definitely plan to return to try the Cuban sandwich and their house-made juices!
