When we are in Ansbach it is almost a must visit. Always happy, nice service, great food, which does not correspond to the standard in an extravagant ambience and stands out from the crowd thanks to its freshness, organic certification and ingenuity. The homemade game specialties are available as an extra for game lovers. Reasonably priced and we'll be happy to stop by again and again. Keep it up!

We can't comment on the hotel itself, as we only ate lunch at the restaurant

This place is amazing. The owners are really nice and work really hard to make you feel at home. The rooms are nice, beds soft but not too soft, bathroom is good sized and modern for the age of the building. There is a large reasonably priced parking area behind the hotel. It is very easy to walk to anything you might need, old town sites, mall, country walking trails, parks for the kids. The food is just wonderful. Most everything seems to be local. They have a wide variety of breakfast items in the German tradition, bread, jam, cold cuts, fruit, yogart, and they will make eggs if you would like. The lunch and dinner items are also very good and reasonably priced.

Review for North American Visitors. Disclaimer: This review is written for a person that never visited Germany before. Skip this review if you are a well seasoned traveler. Bottom Line Up Front: Highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is in the middle of the historic downtown. The staff are extremely friendly, accommodating, and speak perfect English. Review: I have been staying here for almost a month (out of my 60 days reservation) and I am thoroughly happy with my stay. This hotel is both a restaurant that serves authentic german food (downstair) and hotel (upstairs). The building is historic but the owner did a excellent job at preserving the history while modernizing and upgrading the building with modern amenities. For example, every room has a keypad door (no need to hassle on those magnetic room card), broadband/fast wifi, LED lighting, and LCD TVs. The furniture is modern/contemporary. PROs: -Location: You are in the middle of downtown Ansbach. This mean everything is within walking distance from shopping, eating, parks, etc. -Professional Staff: The staff members are professional and accommodating. I believe the owner has both an educational and professional background working in the hotel/hospitality industry and this hotel reflects her experience. -EV Charger: I saw that they have two types of EV charger (to include a Tesla one). -Parking: Parking space is extremely limited here in Germany. Luckily, the hotel has parking. There are 4 spots in front and you can reserve a space for a small fee (I think $12 a day which is extremely reasonable and affordable). There is a large public parking in the back and other parking space (hourly charges) nearby. CONs (These are no fault to the hotel. It is more of a German cultural thing). -HVAC: Not every room has an Air Conditioner or a fan. It can be a little warm in the summer. Recommend you bring a small USB travel type fan with you or buy a cheap fan at the local convenience store. -Fridge: Not every room has a refrigerator. You need to request a room with one if you insist. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay. The entire staff is so warm and welcoming. I hope you find this review helpful.

Food was pretty good, but took a while to get it. Service was good but could have been a bit faster. The cola was awful, would not recommend. They do not have Coca-Cola, but they need to serve it because whatever cola they have now is disgusting.

Wow! This Hotel and it’s staff are a breath of fresh air. The rooms are clean, and super fun. The bathroom is great for 2 people and I would 100% stay again. We paid for the parking out front and it was super easy to get to. I had accidentally booked this room on the wrong day, and they were very helpful and nice about giving me my full refund. Walking distance to everything, if you’re staying in the area I would be sure to check this place out! Thank you!!

Although they were busy and admittedly understaffed, they made every effort to insure our stay was good. The service was very attentive and our room was very nice and clean. The location was great. Although we did not eat much at the hotel restaurant, The food looked and smelled delicious. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at a beautifully designed, very well appointed hotel and craftfully prepared local Bio specialities. The host family are running the this gem of a hideaway exceptionally. Each room comes with a different design, color set and story. Kids and four legged friends are welcome and you might get lucky and join the hosts for a hunt in the local woods before enjoying great game dishes. Breakfast is excellent and the adjacent meeting room and beergarden invite to linger. Thanks for the beautiful experience! Vegetarian options: Bio veggie options available! Kid-friendliness: They have great kids amenities Parking: Spot right in front of the hotel. Pre book! Dietary restrictions: Veggie options and other diets.

Pleasant ambience directly in Ansbach. The food was fine. All in all, that would be worth 4 stars. I had reserved a table for several people, but it was not possible for one of them to accompany us. The host of this place then asked us to pay for this person. On request, he also told us that the Ansbachers are too pampered in terms of gastronomy prices. We should often go to Baden-Württemberg to see what the food costs there. Unharmed.

Goods for one night at the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly. The hotel owners were also very hospitable, especially their sweet Cocker Spaniels make the hotel unique. As far as sustainability is concerned, the hotel owners have also made a lot of effort, e.g. with the scanable QR codes or that the restaurant serves organic food. The rooms themselves are also designed according to themes and very specially equipped with personalities, which allows you to explore more about the pictures or QR codes. It was a very nice stay and the best place to stay in Ansbach :

After our last season we have come with the mopeds into the black scheune. the service was very attentive and the food was also served quickly. the current breeding got a child card and pencils to paint. I ordered the low-carb blood. a alcohol, which is served instead of a lap with a creamy sweet, very tasty! as beating, imch has particularly pleased that in the black bock there is not that in ansbach ubiquitous tucher plörre) but the brewery kesselring. even if not quite regional pure gundel fischer) but even better than tucher. the rustic gastronomy flows from a cozy atmosphere. the price level is somewhat higher than in france allgeim usual. eating is delicious and somewhat more elaborate than elsewhere garnished. a good service will also be paid and about the prices we could already make a picture at the entrance door and still decided to turn into the black bock and not regret it! our youngest had the only thing to note that there was not even for children, he had not in a position to shorten from the waiter any bratkartoffels. I find it quite in agreement with the concept of the house that are not offered at adult dishes. my conclusion: upscale Franconian cuisine with slightly higher curses, excellent service and high quality recommended from the kitchen.

After visiting the old city festival yesterday our evening high point came with the visit of the beautiful summer garden in the hotel black bock. the kitchen is very good and has a very clear regional accent. the service is very friendly and the wine card leaves no wish open. the freshly tapped beer is a beautiful alternative for not weintrinkers. here we live in the house.
