Just stopped by for lunch and had one of their preset bowls . Good products, tasty and nicely presented (and yes, for once it will be spicy if you ask for it , thanks! . Had a very good and quite nourishing chapati on the side. Efficient service. No problem.
I visited this place last week. They serve some good south Indian dishes and especially dishes from Pondicherry. The service was great, the place was peaceful and the presentation was excellent.
I was surprised by the menu of this restaurant as it had very unfamiliar dishes (all include rice) and not a large list of choices but a good range. We tried two sautés dishes, a lamb one and the shrimp/calamari one and they were both delicious. The garlic/corriander cheese chapati was also excellent. The restaurant has a very nice family vibe and the staff were very friendly. The takeaway price has a 10% discount and came within 15 minutes even though the restaurant was fairly busy. It is not cheap (our 3 items came in at 45 euros) but as they include rice it is not unreasonable and the meat was of a good quality. We will definitely go back. Unfortunately they did not have a paper takeaway menu for us to keep and their website does not seem to work.
We go to this unique gem in Annemasse regularly and have recommended it to many people because of the quality of good food and authenticity and uniqueness be it taste, offering and most importantly the it being a family run home like food expedition.
Ok, it wasn't our first choice but as La Punjab was closed it was our next choice... Bad choice chaps! Little welcome of two pappasums thrown on a plate, the fella paying as we walked in was breathing all over them, hope he doesn't have a cold! Starters Veggie Samosa.... urm more like spring rolls served with pink mayo... Not good and not very samosa like.... is their am Iceland in Annemasse in am sure these bad boys are part of an Indian party pack! Apologies no picture just Google a Peter Andre Iceland advert 3 party packs for 8 quid! Naan bread Came after the starter and way before the dinner... looked like a mini pizza, scrap that's it's garlic bread and it's all undercooked and dough like... I can't finish it I am not sure if the middle is undercooked or a cheese/garlic butter mix... no see picture just plain old undercooked! Have a look at the pics, looks more like a Dominos pizza! It's ok I figured out it's Thai... my veggie masala is a red Thai coconut curry... with a bit of extra water! Thank God I asked for spicy with my soup sorry curry, has same size veggies as you find in a good broth! So all in all its poor... get up the road! Get Gordan Ramsey the kitchen is having a nightmare!!! I am writing this as the food is served and in all honesty if my French was better would have bailed after the pizza bread!
