When I pulled in both the parking lot... read more Stopped into Mick’s during a roadtrip from Colorado to Michigan (two kids, two dogs and me). The kids and I were starving. When I pulled in both the parking lot and restaurant were packed. I was worried I walked into an event unwelcomed so I asked the lady behind the bar if I had crashed someone’s party. “She said no ma’am this is normal! What can we getcha? “ with a big friendly smile. I proceeded to order my food to go so we could get back on the road. Then went to my car to wait. When I went back in to grab it (less than 20 min) I met a gentleman at the bar who was also very friendly “I smiled at him and said,” I guess this is the place to be?!!” he told me yes that they were having lots of fun and that there had been a bike run that day as a fundraiser. I later found out he was the owner the lady behind the bar was his wife and the girl that took our order was his daughter. Such a lovely family! Our food was fast, cooked fresh (we got the fish and chips and a fish sandwich with a side salad) His daughter prepared us fresh water to go and even walked me to my car. It can be totally unexpected these days to have such top notch service but I’m ever so grateful ... especially after our long trip!

Only I was still hungry, so when I saw this pretzel being brought out to a customer, had to have it and we did, man was it good, it was all GOOD! And yes we will be back, it's only an hour away, we are from St. DAVID, Illinois. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
