Claims to be one of the top few delis in the country. I have no doubt this is true; the food was absolutely spectacular. The associated shops are near-miraculous, though the upstairs dining area is a bit rough in comparison. View all feedback. What Nathan Baum doesn't like about Zingerman's Delicatessen:
The food the first time I went there was outstanding, if about 40% overpriced. The second time the pastrami had way too much pepper, and the rye bread tasted more like multigrain. Everything else about this place couldnt suck worse. Ordering is electronic, nothing about where anything is makes any sense. The drink machines are down the block from the dining area.
