El Azteca Incorporated - Ankeny

I had thought to eat at Pho85, but for an unknown reason they were tightly closed! So I went a few doors to El Azteca Mexican Restaurant. I never ate here, but I decided to try. I had the Hawaiian style Fajitas... half chicken half-beef, with pineapple and bacon $15.95. Absolutely delicious! A negative point, but the flour tortillas were hard as they were old. I told my waiter and he immediately offered to replace her. And the other negative, they only had two servers. And they were very busy, so I waited long before my server returned. Oh, almost forget... the chips and hot sauce were also very good. Thin, fresh chips and a good, simple hot sauce dip. All that said, I will definitely be back!!

Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ankeny. Really authentic and tasty food, large portions, and well priced. I?ve done dine-in and pickup, several times for both. Each were great. They are also extremely fast getting pickup orders ready. You can even get a margarita for pickup!

Good margaritas, great chips salsa. We usually share the lime chicken that is fantastic and usually have a hard time to finish it. Friendly, super attentive staff.

I have been coming here for 14 years now, and I have never had a single complaint. Not only does this place have amazingly delicious food, but the service is top tier. I love and admire every single individual that works at this establishment. Hands down the best place to eat in Iowa!

The food was overly salty, and the salsa wasn't good either. I had to pay extra for more salsa just to make it somewhat decent. The place was also quite dirty. Not a great experience overall.
